Vanessa is a NJ native and NYC-based jazz vocalist. She embodies the tradition of the masters, with a beautiful sound, sweeping range and swing. Vanessa currently lives in NYC and can be found singing at jazz clubs all over town. Her latest release, “Play Date”(2019), a collaboration with trombonist and husband Robert Edwards, is available on all streaming platforms. Robert Edwards came to New York by way of West Palm Beach, FL. Following his graduation from New Jersey City University in 2008, he obtained his Masters at The Juilliard School in 2010. He’s the winner of the 2018 Detroit Jazz Festival’s Curtis Fuller Low Brass/Trombone Competition. He currently leads the Robert Edwards Big Band and Quintet around New York at clubs such as Smalls, the Django, and Swing 46. Vanessa & Robert have a co-lead residency at Swing 46 every Friday.
