Acclaimed Israeli pianist and bassist Alon Yavnai makes his debut as a leader at the Roxy Bar with a high energy quartet.

Born in Israel, Yavnai began playing piano at the age of four. He studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and won first place in the Great American Jazz Piano Competition. Yavnai has worked with artists like Regina Carter, Ravi Coltrane, Freddie Hubbard, Joe Lovano, Nancy Wilson and many others. In 2008, Yavnai won a Grammy Award as a part of the Paquito D'Rivera Quintet.
